Stitch and Pitch – July 23rd
The ever awaited, much anticipated, Stitch n Pitch took place last night. We were blessed with cool winds and overcast sky’s, clearing to a gorgeous sunset. Three Black Sheep had a table by the entrance to the Lookouts game and we met so many new people curious about the shop, some even interested in learning how to pick up a needle or hook.
I was ushered in to do the first pitch, and yes, it turned out I was nervous beyond belief. The catcher was the sweetest boy (can I say that? He looked like he was 15 or so) he told me I would do fine. Someone announced throw the ball, and I did. Aiming for the ground. The catcher chased the ball down and kindly ran it back to me and told me “Good job.” He was so sweet. However, the Stitch n Pitch crowd cheered me on and we had a GREAT time. So great we all agreed to meet again next May. This time with a prearranged rain date. And a note to the Lookouts, you played an amazing game. I don’t mind that you lost. I think you are the BEST ever. You did not mock my pitch, and I will keep my day job.
Enjoy the pictures, and my humility with the video.
